Malice ~ always and forever

Just the title makes you think of nasty things that could be just around the corner.  I just had to colour up this stunning newish image from Delicious Doodles, yes I'm on Teri's Design Team but I couldn't wait to post her so she's not a DT inspiration card, although I do hope you find inspiration with her.

I kept the colours fairly simple in Black, Gold and Red, her sword is coated in gloss so it really shines, her nails and lips are all lipstick spica and there is gold spica patterns in her eyes.  She brings to mind one of those glamourous  amazon fighting women or a warrior princess!  She is stunning and I loved colouring her.

Copics used are
Skin:  E000, 01, 11 R20,
Eyes: Y26 & 28
Lips and Nails R46 Lipstick Spica
Hair: E40, 42, 43, 44
Armour:  C9, Y26& 28, Gold spica
Sword: C3 and gloss.

Basic Black and Real Red SU card, Platimum Gold paper, DCWV Stardust matstack
Ribbon and ribbon flowers from my stash.
Nesties Labels 28  Lily of the Valley sentiment.

Vampire Luka

Hi there, I hope your weekend is going well, nearly over here, I didn't win the lotto last night so I guess I have to go back to work tomorrow!  Oh to be able to retire early and .....(dream on)

I have had some time to craft for fun to day!  That doesn't happen often for me lately, but I've finished all the wedding invitations and made a Guest Book.  The Bouquets are nearly finished just the ribbon to go now.  Buttonholes are done and I'm just waiting on some info from the Hairdresser as to how she wants the flowers mounted for the hairstyle.  Months away yet, but at least those jobs are out of the way.

On to my little card I was inspired by the sketch at Crazy 4 Challenges and then found a number of other challenges that were perfect for this little fella.

Isn't he so cute?  I had these teardrop bling and thought that I'd colour one up for his cravat decoration as the image was oval not round, I chose red then while I was putting it there realised it looked like a drop of blood!  LOL  He's a bit too cute for lots of blood and gore.

Copics used
Skin:  E50, E51, E53 & E93
Hair:  E30, E50, E53, E55 & E57
Clothes and shoes: V22, V25 & V28  R14, R17, R27 & R46.  C1, C3, C5, C7 & C9

I'm entering Vampire Luka into the following challenges.

Crazy 4 Challenges - sketch
Fussy and Fancy Challenge -  Anything Goes
ATCs and Cards with Attitude -  Halloween/Anything Goes
One Stop Craft Challenge - #202 Halloween
My Time to Craft - # 194 Halloween

Thanks for stopping by to take a closer look at my little Vampire Luka, I have Candy to celebrate 200 followers.  Please feel free to enter my candy here.

I'm going crackers!

This is take 2 of posting for the challenge at Southern Girls this fortnight. Animal Crackers!  Seeing as how I got my dates mixed up and posted this a week early, I've made a second DT project for you.

I don't usually do animal images, not sure why, I think they look fabulous when I see other peoples creations, I hope this little fellow looks pretty cute.  I decided that he would work for an anniversary card, or equally for valentines as well.

I kept the card design fairly simple as I'd used two intricate dies with the image, didn't want to overdo it!

Hope you find time to join us for our Animal Crackers challenge at Southern Girls, we have some fabulous prizes up for grabs!

Pepe has been coloured with copic markers as follows
Fur:  E70, 71, 74, 77
Ears and Nose: E93, R20
Cheese: Y000, 02, 06, 08
Ribbon and flower paper:  R46, 43, 27, 17
Flowers:  R43, 46 and Y02, 06, 08

Dies storage

Hello friends and followers, I must apologise for being so missing in action over the past month.  Firstly my mojo went on a round the world trip, then I took some leave to paint my flat.  I ended up with an abscess under a tooth and had the tooth out, then it got infected big time!

Seems I still can't win though because, the first lot of antibiotics prescribed by the dentist didn't work, so the Doctor recommended a second lot of super strength and they seem to have done the trick cause I feel like I'm in the land of the living again now.

I don't have any makes to show you as what little mojo I could find has gone into some DT cards for next week, so you'll just have to wait.  I do however have some Dies storage to show you, so sit back with a cuppa as this is quite a long post!

As some of you may know, I used to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and have collected quite a selection of stamps, the unmounted stamps come in fabulous DVD cases and I've consolidated a lot of my stamps, two sets in one case.

This freed up some cases, plus I'd purchased a few spares, you get 4 for $9.95.  I had to cut the Spellbinders card down a little to fit them in, but you get the idea.

I'd been hunting around for a decent strength sheet magnet and couldn't find any that I could afford so I thought I'd temporarily use 'Stuk Tack' (from one of those Two Dollar shops) it's like Blu Tac, it sticks brilliantly to both the case and the dies, they are very easy to remove and replace AND if a little comes off on the die, you just ball up some and dab it over the stuff you want to remove and it cleans it off beautifully.  I'm not searching for magnets anymore, this works so well for me.

The only draw back is the long strips of border dies in the Shapeabilities sets don't fit inside the cases, so I've stuck them to the wall of my cube unit, right beside the dies storage, perfect!  It's not all that clear, but each spine is labeled with the dies, company first, then die name or description if there is no name.

This DVD unit (holds 135 DVD cases) also holds my unmonted stamps, both SU and other brands that have been stored in the DVD cases, I've got stamped sheets in the cover so all the images can be seen from the outside.  The unit is not full YET!

In order to find them, I also made a catalogue of my dies, I used up a whole lot of coloured paper and a few sheets of cardstock to create this, but it's fabulous to flick through, the dies in each case are listed  on one page making it very easy for me to locate what I'm looking for, plus I've even used it today to size up which die to use for an image, now that's a Double bonus.  Plus, in the process, there are bits that get cut out that you can use as well, so I've stuck those on the page, as in the little hearts that come out of the Cheery Lynne hearts dies below.

Here's one shot of the full unit, SU stamp sets on the left, other company stamps in the centre and the dies on the right, see I told you it wasn't full......yet!  Unfortunately, the Tim Holtz and Sizzix dies on the right, don't fit into the rack.

Well, I hope that this inspires you to discover storage that works for you.  I've been really happy with this as it helps me tidy up my creative space and keep track of my dies, the collection has grown at an alarming rate!

 Cheers,

Poppies!

Poppies is the theme of the Delicious Doodles challenge this week and the brilliant red of poppies inspired the colours in this card.  I had to go with cream and chocolate as the coordinating tones with just a dash of purple.

You can get yourself  a copy of this fabulous image at Delicious Doodles store.  I hope you can join us, don't forget if you use a Delicious Doodles image to enter your name twice and you will be spotlighted.

Animal Crackers at Southern Girls

Opps...I'm must have been really keen to post this since the Mojo returned as I've posted it a week early!  Well you get an extra week to do your challenge entry for Southern Girls!  Opps sorry Lou and Tracy......I'm blaming the antibiotics and sore mouth.

Hi everyone, it seems my mojo made quick return the other day.  I was asked to select an image from The Paper Shelter for my Southern Girls DT make this challenge and I went to look, I was so excited browsing through all the gorgeous digi's that I forgot to check what the challenge theme was!

My little granddaughter just loves Rapunzel and plays that she is swinging through the house on her long, long hair.  So I just had to do this image up for her.

I took a couple of  pics prior to placing this in behind the glass in the frame.  I printed Rapunzel out on an A4 sheet of Xpress It card then using my Multiliner, I extended the brickwork both horizontally and vertically.

Here is a closer shot of Rapunzel herself, I just had to do her in similar colours to the image at the store, although her hair is darker here in the photo, it's not quite this red in reality!  Of course there had to be bling in the flowers in her hair and there is clear spica pen over the green to make it sparkle.

At some point AFTER this was completed, I realised that the challenge was animals!  EEK!  I thought of trying to draw in a Chameleon but my drawing skills are not that good, so what better than die cut butterflies filled with glitter?  That's my animal contribution, technically, butterflies are insects, but insects are animals, so I hope I'm covered....LOL

Here she is in her frame, it was difficult to get a clear picture without reflections showing up in the glass, so I tried again once she was hanging on the wall.

I hope you're inspired to join our challenge this fortnight, Animal Crackers! at the Southern Girls, I think you can even get away with using a butterfly or three!

While you're at it, why not join in on these fabulous challenges as well !!!

Journal Page

Hello fellow crafters, welcome to a fabulous challenge at Mad for Markers, to use multiliners in your crafting. This page has been published in the Copicendium, what is that you ask?  Well, Sammi at Mad for Markers store, produces this quarterly magazine to help you with your colouring, there are some fabulous cards on display in Volume 4 and on the inside back page is my journal page.  It's so exciting to be published!!!

I've used mulitliners here on my page in my smashbook to deepen the lines in a stamped image and to record the colours I used on the Silver Fairy stamp.

The image in the top left hand corner was stamped with Momento Black ink, but as the page is watercolour paper, it's textured and the stamp didn't come out clearly, so I went over some of the lines in the stamp to make her more visible on the page.

Here's a closer shot of the Silver Fairy stamp.

This is a closer shot of the colours used and the flute playing goddess in the corner!  The page was created using several colours of Starburst mica sprays and layers of stamping.

I am personally giving away
One copy of Copicendium
for one lucky entrant in this month's
Mad for Markers challenge!

All you have to do is create any copic marker project and use a multiliner on your project, the Design Team have been posting some fabulous ideas for you.

So if you'd like to own your very own copy of Volume 4 enter the challenge and I'll select someone who will win!  Artists appearing in this issue are Alyce Keegan, Natalie May, Emma Eads, Gin Thomson, Melissa Goodman
last but certainly not least is Sammi, proud owner of Mad for Markers!   This is one very talented lineup.

PS.  Sorry I've been a bit missing from my blog over the past few weeks, I've only been posting my DT work.  I've been busy creating wedding invitations for my daughter's wedding.  Once they are posted out, I'll give you a peek at them. I'm also making the bouquets and buttonholes out of some stunning artificial flowers.  It's too hot for real flowers here in January!

Which Way Is Up?

I've recently been introduced to Zentangles.  Basically it's doodling and drawing repetitive patterns, I've done one here and used a Multiliner to draw the design and my copics to colour it up for this months challenge at Mad for Markers.

The question is.....Which way is up?

During the creation of a Zentangle, you end up turning your page many times, as it's an abstract design that just flows from your pen and you sort of 'zone out' or Zen while you're drawing, I guess it really doesn't matter!

Here's a couple of other angles to view it from.  I tired to get a fourth picture here but each time it loaded, it got flipped on the side, you get the idea though.

Hope you have fun doodling on your creations with multiliners and submit your work of art in our challenge this month.

If you don't have multiliners yet, then check out Sammi's Mad for Markers store for them.
I've used

0.3 Mulitliner
R46, YR07, Y17 and Black

Delicious Flowers

Hi everyone, I've been a bit MIA for a while now, firstly due to a very low MOJO level and secondly, I'm painting my house.  Nearly finished.  I've taken some time out to make my DT card for this week's Delicious Doodles challenge Flowers.  How easy is that?

I've used Cross and Roses and plain white with a ton of pearls and some gold thread with a hearts charm.  This image could be used for so many different occasions, I've left the sentiment off for now and will add it when Mum decides what she wants it for.

Copic markers used
Cross Y26 with Y28 outline trim this was then covered with clear spica, I also used clear spica on the black swirls.
Leaves G43 & G46, Roses R17 & R26

I'm really struggling with my photography, this was the 5th picture taken in various locations around the house inside and out.  This was in bright sunlight, a little too bright I think!

I hope you find time to join us this week for our Flowers Challenge.

My First Candy!

Hello there, have you got copic markers and struggle to store them?

Have I got a deal for you?!

I'm offering a Copic markers storage container as my very first time of putting candy up for grabs.

(storage ONLY Candy does NOT include markers)

I bought so many markers during the Copic badges promotion I ended up getting two of these fabulous containers.  They are made from the same fabric that those fabulous green shopping bags are made from and have this insert that velcro's to the sides to form little compartments for your markers to stand up in.  I like to lay mine on its side and I elevate it slightly at the front so I can see all the numbers on the markers better.

Here is a pic of my markers in the storage box (I do have an unopened one for the candy) NOTE  The markers pictured here are NOT part of the candy!  I have taken a picture with my markers in the storage container so you can see how it works, it's black and without the markers it is very difficult to see the cubes.

Here is the storage container pictured with the lid closed, it has little velcro tabs to hold it closed and a carry handle.

How do you enter?

Simple, just add your name to the inLinkz tool below and on the 30th September 2012 I'll draw out a winner!

You do not have to be a follower to enter, although if you like my creative endeavours I'd be honoured if you choose to follow, it is not necessary though to enter the candy.

Please leave a comment once you've posted your name.

Candy Draw - Winner Announced!

Hi all, just taking a quick break from my painting, got the lounge room back into some semblance of order and my PC is back plugged in and running so thought I'd do my candy draw.

I enlisted the assistance of my granddaughter Danielle.

Here is a series of pics showing the draw!  all the names went into a bowl

My lovely assistant swirled them around, taking the whole thing very seriously and announcing the winner with a smile!

Congratulations Patricia!

Send me an email to kasey.in.oz@gmail.com and give me your address so I can parcel it up and send it off to you.

Thank you ladies for entering my candy draw.  I'm having to move all my craft room to I can paint the walls....who knows what I might find to put in a new candy down the track.

Cheers,
