My Creative Space

Wow, I have a LOT of stash!  LOL and when you have to move it, it's challenging.

OK here's what I've done, I've moved from a single bedroom to a slightly smaller room.  So the way items were organised needed to be rethought.

This is the view from the doorway.  shelving on both side walls.  Desk under the window, lots of lovely light pouring in and a fabulous tree outside the window.

Immediately to the left of the door is two cabinets for storage, these are my SU stamp sets, the wood mounted ones!  OK so I have a few, but I was a demonstrator for a few years......I think I'll need to put some up for sale soon to make room.  LOL and you don't get to see inside the bottom cupboard, tis a tad messy!

In the corner, I've created extra shelves in the built in bookcase.  It would have been a lot of wasted space, so with a little bit of measuring and a few bits of timber and some screws, very little wasted space in deep shelves with small items on them. I have cut a lot of my 12 x 12 papers into 6 x 6, these are in most of those plastic tubs you see on the shelves.

As you can see, my A4 card is in plastic envelopes, all the offcuts are put back in the same envelope ( they have a little clip to hold them closed)

more paper, the 12 x 12 in the drawers.  Also glitter, twinkling H2Os and embossing powder etc wood mounted stamps  in the large craft drawers.

I have my cutting and embossing station in the centre of the room, and on top of the little drawers behind are my embossing folders and Sizzix and Tim Holtz dies.

My embellishment wall, all my buttons, chippies, flowers, bling, ribbon etc.

The DVD stand holds my dies in the dvd cases, unmounted SU and other brand stamps.  Lots of space to expand the collection!  Under this rack are more craft drawers with 12 x 12 papers.

Then there is the desk, which you saw in the first picture.  on the other wall is

Finally is a series of cubed bookcases holding inks and brushes, unmounted stamps, bling, smashbooks, paints, all sorts of things you like to have close at hand.  As you can see, still a bit messy, no doubt I'll move a few things around as I start to work with it and find it needs refining!

Well that's it.  a tour of my space  Believe it or not, the only discovery was a set of standard cutting plates for the big shot which I forgot I had!

Thanks for visiting!

Cheers,

  7. Oh! My Word! This is fantastic. I craft in the kitchen which is big, I have a few cupboards there.
I would think I had died and gone to heaven if I had space like yours to craft in.
    Enjoy it
