Spots and Stripes at Southern Girls

Hello there!  Time for another smashing Southern Girls challenge.  Wow this one is so darn easy, we're going to have to put our thinking caps on to provide more challenging challenges!!

Spots and Stripes

I've gone all monochromatic as, for me, this image from Little Claire called Swirly Whirlie Cats was made for this black and white setting.

It's a pretty quick and easy card something that my missing mojo wouldn't really be required for.  I've used a new Spellbinders die and lots of lovely satin ribbon for the stripes then some spotted satin ribbon, the fabulous image and some glue, of course no card is complete without some bling too.

The fabulous design team have some lovely inspiration for you at Southern Girls challenges, Hope you can join us for our Spots and Stripes challenge.

I have candy up for grabs, if you're in need of a Copic Marker storage solution, check it out.

Cheers,

Windy Day

Here is one of the fabulous Saturated Canary rubber images now stocked at Mad for Markers store.

Windy Day, isn't she so cute?  I have lots of new toys to play with from Mad for Markers store, I splurged and got a little bottle of Copic Opaque White in a recent order.  This image has some on her dress, hair and shoes.  Lovely to work with.  I also got a few of the Saturated Canary rubber stamps and some new La La Land ones as well, so many stamps yet to see ink!

I've really had a non creative month and it's still going!  Isn't it just awful when your mojo goes missing? All those lovely new items and no urge to create.  I did manage to colour up this fabulous image and I'm happy with the result.  I decided not to make the card up yet as I might use her on a journal page.

 Colours used.

We're testing your metal!

Hello all, welcome to a new challenge this week at Delicious Doodles.  This week we're testing your metal!  (ok bad pun)  But we do want you to use metal on your creations.

I have used Teri's Tattoos and Feathers image, my first steampunk style card, not sure this style is quite 'me' but I did have fun colouring the image and putting the card together, and truly, that is all that counts!

Metal used here is a metal charm which was copper coloured but I went over it with a metallic silver pen, then I've used metal brads and the same metallic silver on the image and one of the cogs.

Hair: W1, W3, W5, W9 Sand Spica
Feathers: YR04 & R17
Clothes:  R17, R27 & R46
Skin E0000, E000, E01, E11, BV0000
Goggles E39 C2 and C5
N1 outline.

Hope you're inspired to join us!  If you use a Delicious Doodles image, don't forget to enter your name twice and your project will be spotlighted!

I have a sticky post on my homepage, Candy on offer!  If you're after a storage solution for your copic markers, check it out!

Morning all, I'm away for work at the moment, which is just as well because my MOJO is still MIA!  But here's a card I prepared earlier.

Hopefully if Mr Blogger is playing nice, this post will auto-magically appear on my blog!  If not, well I guess I'll just have to fix it up a bit later then.

This month the challenge at Mad for Markers is all about the Copic Marker colour families of Green and Yellow Green.  Create a project featuring those colours and enter it at Mad For Markers

Here is tea time Marci complete with her laden tea table, just waiting for her guests to arrive!

I have drawn the little pattern on Marci's dress and added the pattern to the table cloth using a piece of cotton lace wet with colourless blender.  Well I didn't actually get the lace pattern but I did get a lovely mottled effect!

Where the Bl@#$& hell is my mojo!

Hi all, can I just ask you to have a bit of a look around at your place and see if my mojo is visiting you?  I can't find it anywhere here, lucky my next two DT posts are done and scheduled!

I have been having some fun playing around with Zentangles or doodles.  Check this out for a first attempt.  I think I have a long way to go to match the fabulous ones I've seen on Pintrest, but I"m pretty happy with this first one.

If you find my mojo, please send it back this way, I've got several partly coloured images crying out for my attention but the inclination is MIA.

Thanks for stopping by.

Beautiful Butterflies

Hello there everyone!  welcome to those of you new to following my blog.  Thank you for that lovely compliment.

On to my make for today, I printed this digi off twice then cut the three butterflies out and layered them to add some dimension.

I added a Cheery Lynne die and a LOTV sentiment.  The dots are embossed using a cuttlebug embossing folder, I love that you can extend the dots out to cover a square card as it's a repeating pattern.  Lots of spica pen to make this sparkle too.

My followers know that I am on a few design teams and one of them is Delicious Doodles where the main image above comes from, one of the others is Mad for Markers, an online store in Australia, well I have some exciting news for all you Copic lovers....Sammi (boss lady at M4M) is having a Copic Marker sale!  for the entire month of September.  Need markers?  check it out!
Don't forget to check out the Mad for Markers challenge this month, it's to use your copic marker Gs and YGs.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges.

No matter which challenges - Die cuts or punches (I used a die cut)

Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Thank you for dropping by and if you've taken the time to leave me a comment, I usually reply to them within a day or two to say thanks.

A fond Farewell card

Hello to all my new followers.  I'm thrilled that I've gathered so many over the past few weeks!  Thank you.

This card was one I made as a farewell card for a fabulous lady who worked in one of my teams at work.  She is a crafter herself so it's always daunting to be creating for someone who also creates.

The background is watercolour paper spritzed with my new collection of Starburst mica sprays, such a glorious shimmer to these colours.  Once this was dry, I then ran it through the bigshot with an embossing folder to give some texture. I cut this gorgeous Cheery Lynn flourish die and then popped some multicoloured roses on the die.

I wanted the card to be just a little different so layered the background on black then mustart and then cherry card and punched the scalloped border on the edge, as you can see in the next photo, the inside is layered with mustard and black to create the border where I added black rhinestones between the scallops.  I'm really happy with the design of this one.

I'm entering this into the following challenges.

Anything Goes - Make your own background
Make it Monday - Anything Goes.

Let me know you visited by leaving me a comment, I love reading your thoughts.

Delicious Doodles an introduction...

The new members of the Delicious Doodles design team were asked to create a post on the blog about themselves as a way of introducing ourselves to the Delicious Doodles followers.

I'm Kasey, usually known as Kasey ~ in Oz online, I'm so overwhelmed and thankful for being selected to be a part of Teri's design team, followers of my blog will know I've got a few of Teri's images and have been posting them fairly often.  I live in sunny North Queensland Australia (hence the in Oz tag).

I've always had to be doing something creative, I've turned my hand to many crafts over the years such as Ceramics, Lead Lighting, Millinery, Beading, Sewing, Crochet and then I found Papercraft, specifically card making although I do dabble occasionally in scrapbooking and off the page items.  I tend to mainly use Copic Markers now and make cards and journal pages.

I hope you find inspiration in the DT cards I'll create for future Delicious Doodles challenges and that you'll play along with us.

Rose Faerie Marci

Hi everyone,  I started colouring my new La La Land Rose Faerie Marci earlier in the week then I had to go out of town for work and today I managed to get some time for finishing the image and making a card.  This little Marci arrived in a parcel from Mad for Markers along with some other new release stamps and a few more copic markers.  RV91, 93, 95, 99 and I love the soft tones.

Rose Faerie Marci has been coloured with copic markers and spica pens and I've used some of my beautiful Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and metal corners, and of course Lily of the Valley sentiment.  I've used a fabulous Cheery Lynn die but not taken all of the punched out pieces out, so it's not as lacy as it usually is, I wanted more of a solid base for Marci.

Copics used

Skin:  E000, E091, E11, R20
Cothers: RV91, RV93, RV95, RV99, YR12, YR31, Lemon and Clear spica
Wings and Roses: RV00, RV63, RV66, Clear spica
Hair: BG0000, BG11, BG53, BG57, BG72, BG75, Turquoise Spica

As is usually the case, when I'm not making DT cards, I just create and hope I can find a challenge or two to enter the card.  I was lucky and found Three!

In the Pink ~ Things with Wings
Wild Orchid Crafts ~ Summer Flowers

Thanks for visiting, I hope you have time to let me know you stopped by, I love reading the comments my friends and visitors leave.
