I really needed chill out time in the craft room after work today so I looked at the challenges on offer and came up with this offering.....Hope you like it as much as I do.
Once again, I'm having fun turning out the mottled paper by using re inkers with rubbing alcohol on glossy card stock and this one I am really happy with, the colours used here are More Mustard, Rich Razzleberry and Perfect Plum and I think they make a stunning combo.
It is my take on the colour combo on offer at Play Date Cafe, while on screen the darker colour looks more of a cherry colour it printed out more plum so I ended up using Rich Razzleberry in my take. I've also used the scroll stamp in the Style Beautiful set for the first time and decided to stamp it double and added some tiny pearls to the image.
Don't know what's wrong with my camera lately, the Perfect Plum has turned out quite lilac looking in this photo. Trust me it IS Perfect Plum!

this is beautiful - love what you have done and your take on the challenge
ReplyDeleteLove your card, Kasey ! I think you have the good colors required by this challenge. The purple caused me trouble on my card.
ReplyDeleteThe paper with which you made the circle, is it a hand made paper ? It's my fave...
Have a good tuesday and thanks for your last comment on my blog.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous layering, but love that stacked frame. Thanks so much for joining us at The Play Date Cafe this week.
ReplyDeleteSo much wonderful detail and gorgeously balanced! Hugs xxaxx
ReplyDeleteI might have to play with my alcohol inks now - and it's all your fault. Loving the backgrounds you made on this one - although using the mustard must have had you damn near straining something. And there are no butterflies! Hope you had a nice lie down after making this (but it was worth the effort - gorgeous result!) Bron x
