SGC Things with Wings!

Don't you just love crafting with images of Butterflies, Dragonflies, Fairies, Angels, Dragons, Birds and I'm sure you could add a few more creatures with wings.  The challenge this fortnight at Southern Girls Challenges is Things with Wings! I hope you have as much fun creating your cards for the challenge this week as I did.

I've used a fabulous image from Delicious Doodles, created by the very talented Teri, called 'Endless Love'  This was a joy to colour, Stunning art work and I just love the image.  Teri's work is gorgeous and she has some amazingly different images too if you're looking for something a little darker!

See that little strip of marbled paper?  I made that using the shaving cream technique.  The colours were all reflected in the image so it was perfect for this card.  I've also used some of my amazing Wild Orchid flowers that I just love and one of the metal filigree corners, a scallop border and some pearls.  Lots and lots of spica pen to make this shimmer and sparkle.

Here is a close up of the gorgeous image showing lots of spica pen giving it a glimmer that is amazing.
I also used the little dots to create a background surrounding the image, it seemed to fit this quite well.  I absolutely loved colouring this image.

I'm also entering this into the Make it Monday Linky Party

    1. LOL Alyce, you sound just like me when I discover a stamp I just love! Thanks, I will be doing this one again in richer colours, this time it just called out for soft tones. Sorry, I won't be able to make it for the Craft show in Brisbane and the horrific thing is I think I'll be away in Sydney and Canberra for the Townsville one too! LOL Just my luck!

    1. Hi Avril, thanks for the invite, but your challenge site says no Digi stamps allowed. This is a digital image which I printed and then coloured with copics. I'm glad you like it but it isn't suitable for your challenge. Glad you like my little shoes too.

    1. Brigit, not sure if you will see this message. Shaving cream technique is really easy, slightly messy but gives the most amazing results. Check out www.splitcoaststampers.com resources section. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/shaving_cream1/
