Smash Book pages!

Warning!  This is a long post, go grab a cuppa first!
~~~~~~~
I finally got around to starting on my smash book.  I won this fabulous Retro smash book from Mandy at A Sprinkling of Glitter and it winged it's way from England to Australia (Thank you again Mandy), I was so excited to get it, then....nothing....my mojo deserted me and it sat untouched, I did try to do up a page, I had already prepared some things I wanted to do, but they just didn't work with the masculine pages.
Then inspiration struck, I'm always looking back to see some of my favourite colour combos for copics so that's what I'm using the smash book for!  As I would be adding lots of images then some of the images on the pages could be easily covered.
The first two pages are digi image of Birgitta by CC designs specially for the online class by Mandi Lee.  This was my way of trying out different skin and hair combinations  as the class progressed.  You can see I've added wings, shoes and stockings.  I ran out of time to do all the dresses as I wanted to get this book started.
 Pages 1 & 2
 Pages 3 & 4
The above 10 images were all from done as inspired by the class and is a great way to try out different skin and hair combinations.
The next page is all since then. and these are just different images with funky hair that I loved colouring when I made them into cards, so I stamped and printed out more to add to my book.
Now as the Mad for Markers challenge this month is for using your Bs, BGs and BVs, think outside the norm and use them for hair.  Here BGs and Bs look awesome as funky hair colours.  If you're a bit shy at trying something outside the norm, go for a fantasy figure like a fairy, then you can suspend realism and go for broke!
Have fun with experimenting and coming up with your own combinations.
Oh I almost forgot.  Make it Monday!   I must be getting old!
Cheers,
    1. Hi Alyce, I'm still working on Hair images to add, I bet this book ends up being mainly about hair. I mean to say, there is just such an amazing amount to learn and track. As I see it on blogs like yours I put it into practice, mind you I often have some failures, I'm even going to put those in as they will remind me to practice more! Thanks for your continued support.
  5. Hello Kasey. WOW this is such a great idea. I think I'll start doing this. Could I be cheeky and ask what colours you use for blond hair well any coloured hair really. Just started using copics and I need all the help I can get. Can't read the colours as they are too small. Caroline xxx
  7. Fantastic idea Kasey and ironically I did a really similar thing today to work out how to colour hair in different copic colours and how to create textures! Saw this on MIM.
    1. Thanks Shanni, this is really working out to be a fabulous resource for me when choosing what colour combos to use. I could end up with the whole book being about hair and skin tones!
