Best Yet!

OH My! I'm so thrilled with this card, I've had this idea floating around in my head about embossing the leaves from the two step bird punch and this weeks Mojo Monday sketch inspired me to attempt it on this card.

I've been on quite creative a roll lately and have the luxury of time to spend in the craft room. In particular with cyclone Yasi heading this way apart from doing the preparations, there isn't much else to do and all that nervous energy needs an outlet right?

  1. Cyclone Yasi? You're to 'Y'? OUCH!

Is Queensland where all the flooding has been? I hope you are on high ground!

Back to the card. This is gorgeous! Love the leaves. I'm going to have to try this technique.

  3. When a cyclone is out at sea and likely to head your way, you do the preparation, secure your house and prepare the cyclone kit with water, batteries, candles, tinned food etc because the power is likely to be down for a few days post cyclone. Take note of Local authorities in case of evacuation but it's a wait and watch game you play until the cyclone crosses the coast.

North Queensland wasn't as badly affected by the flooding as the lower part of the state. Looks like Yasi has other ideas and is about to cause havoc for us in the north. I'm checking the Bureau Of Meterology (BOM) site for weather updates and otherwise directing my nerves into a creative outlet!

Thank you for your lovely comments about my card.

  5. Hi Kasey, your cards are wonderful ! But I write this comment because I've heard on TV that, after the terrible flood, you're waiting for a cyclone (?) in Queensland. Hope you aren't in this area and wish you all best outcome.
