So here is the "Mashup" Challenge :
  1. Make a project featuring "Paper Piercing".
  2. Or Make a project using the colors "Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red & Early Espresso".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a project using the colors "Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red & Early Espresso with some Paper Piercing" .
*Here is a link on how to do Paper Piercing Paper Piercing Tutorial

Honestly, I shy away from putting red and pink together.  I really don't like it, so this was quite a struggle for me to come up with a combination of red and pink that I could live with.  As Blushing Bride leans slightly towards apricot tones, I used it for my flower,  I stamped versamark then tapped the inked stamp into Riding Hood Red and clear embossed that on the Blushing bride.  The leaves and butterfly were done the same way using Early Expresso.  I had some liquid pearls and used them for the butterfly body and pansy centres in the border, which is a round the page Mather Stewart punch set.  I used the peircing mat and paper peircing tool from Stampin Up! to do my corners, love that mat it helps me keep those little holes straight and even!  The stamp set is Summer Solstice from Stampin' Up!

As usual, the fabulously talented Design Team have come up with varity of inspiration offerings for you, If you haven't been over to the Friday Mashup Blog, head over there now and come up with your own creation fitting one or both of this week's mashup challenge components.

Cheers
