Kiss Kiss!

I can just imagine the look on my teenage grandson's face if I did that to him!  But this week at the Friday Mashup it's all about Kissing.  Don't you just love this pic on the graphic that Holly came up with?

The kissing technique is not one I go to often and I'm really happy with the end result here.

I went for making my own background papers and had this square card all figured out an then remembered that Round was also part of the challenge!  Oh dear, back to the drawing board, so I ended up keeping the layout and placing it on a large scallop circle, the natrual ivory card is behind that.  I ran the circle through the crimper to add something less feminine and heavily sponged Marina Mist and Night of Navy on the scallops

SUs Extreme Guitar is a solid stamp and seemed to be perfect for the Kissing part of this challenge, I used Extreme Elements and Grunge Rock stamp sets as well and just kept layering the images in Early Expresso, Soft Suede, Marina Mist and Night of Navy.

I've also done some pretty special stuff with the guitar image on the background papers, I've inked the stamp up with Soft Suede, then dabbed a sponge in Champagne Shimmer Paint over the top, when you stamp it, you have this amazing copper sparkly colour which is gorgeous IRL.

Here's a close up of the main image and you can see the kissed image more clearly, I've dabbed the Champagne shimmer mist over the image and the background again to add a bit more grunge.

The Friday Mashup DT have outdone themselves this week with an amazing selection of inspiration cards for you.

Can't wait to see your Kiss, Kiss projects!

Cheers,

  1. I haven't inked up this set in a while. I love your card, the use of different shapes is great.

  3. Wow! Great card! I love that you kept the layout on the round card...so unique and eye catching! The crimping and sponging is a gret added detail. I used my guitar guy the other day for a different challenge...he's so much fun!
