Sweet Flying Tilda

I was touring around the blog-o-sphere and came across the Copic Marker Europe site.  Oh MY!  talk about some amazing work posted there, I took an extended tour of the blog and looked into some of the tutorials there as well. A M A Z I N G stuff.

I was particularly taken with the tutorial about Sepia colouring so decided to try it on my little Flying Tilda. It's been ages since I've posted a Tilda card.  I also did the little dots background that I've seen being used lately, both new techniques that I'm pretty happy with.

I used the Sketch from Sketch Saturdays and colours from CR84FN and am so happy with the combination that this has created.

Copics used.

Hair, dress, wings and shoes:  E40. E42, E43, E44 Sand spica
Skin: E50, E51, E53 & E93  BV000 for shadows (still perfecting this technique!)
Background:  R81, R83 & R84, blossom spica

Entering this little cutie into the following challenges.

Sketch Saturdays - Sketch
CR84FN - Colours - Medium Pink, Tan and Cream
Wags n' Whiskers Stamps - Anything Goes
Make it Monday - Linky Party
Copic Oz - Flowers

Hope you have a great day.

Paisley Pair

I have had a very productive day in the craft room and used two new stamp sets into the bargain!

Being the aging hippy that I am, I was totally drawn to the two paisley sets SU has for offer.  Paisley Petals and Spiced Paisley.

First off is the soft pastel one As soon as I saw the challenge colours at Colour Q I knew that they would work for the paisleys.  I've also used the sketch at Card Patterns to make my card, only using three rather than 4 featured items.

Card Patterns: Sketch # 147

Colour Q: #118  Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz, Cameo Coral, Cool Carribean, had to substutite there and went with Marina Mist.

On a britghter note.... the colour challenge over at CR84FN had me reaching for my copic markers and some bright paisly fun!

I've used the Paisley Petals set here and Y17, B12 and YR07, what a fabulous combination they made for the paisly background I created.  No blending here, just back to grade 1 colouring and trying to stay inside the lines!

CR84FN:  Colour challenge Med Blue, Orange and Yellow.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers,
