We're 21 and going Purple!

PLG # 21 is this week and it goes right to my favourite colour!  Purple!  Isn't this inspiration photo just gorgeous?  I love it.

I have been using up some of my new goodies.  The embossed die in the background of this card is a Marianne Creatables corner, cut 4 times from SU Elegant Eggplant and placed on white card, just to show up the cut out bits.  Then it's matted onto SU Wisteria Wonder.  I dragged out the Set Sail stamp set for the sentiment and used my copic markers to colour in the Fifth Avenue rose.

Here is a closer pic of the rose.  I really like the subtle shading.  Hope you're inspired to play along with us at the Paper Lovin' Gals challenge this week.

Cheers,

it's all about Monochromatic Man

Hi it's Kasey here, a big Hello from sunny North Queensland, Australia! and welcome to another Friday Mashup Challenge I'm so pleased to be a full time member of the Friday Mashup Design Team and another first for me, I get to set the Challenge this week.
I'm so excited to be bringing you one of my all time favourites.  Just in case you haven't come across the term before...A Monochromatic scheme uses shades of the same colour or ONE colour plus a neutral.
I for one don't make enough masculine cards, I prefer working with all the girly colours and bling, so in the theme of setting challenges... to Mash it up, make it Masculine.

1. Make a card with a Monochromatic colour scheme
2. Make a card with with a Masculine theme
3. MASH it all up and create a Monochromatic card that is for a Male!

I can't wait to see all of your fabulous entries.

Don't forget to stop by and leave a comment on the blogs where the cards inspire you for both the DT girls AND the other entries.  Everyone loves to read comments!

I often find my best inspiration from looking at challenge entries.

Here is my inspiration card for you...

Set Sail

Hello Blog surfers,

Look at that!  Just there on the left side of your screen...... I've just tipped over 10,000 page views AND I now have 25 followers.... so I must be doing something right.   Seriously, this is a huge Thank you for stopping by and I'm glad you find my artwork interesting enough to follow.  Your comments make my day and put a lovely smile on my face to think that (almost) complete strangers take time out of their day to leave comments that inspire me to create more.  It's just lovely.

As I said in a recent post, my aim for the rest of this year is to ensure that all my stamp sets see some ink!  So, to make sure that happens, I'm dragging retired sets out and dusting them off.  Here is one that I just love and is perfect for Masculine cards.  Set Sail has this beautiful tall ships stamp and the sentiment is so nice.

I was going to enter this one into two challenges but I'm too late for the colour challenge so it goes into only one.
