Happy New Year!

Update:  This project was selected as a runner up at Eclectic Ellapu!  Thank you so much.

Hi everyone, I hope you managed to celebrate the arrival of 2013.  I spent a lovely time in my craft room just colouring images and popping them into my little A5 pocket folder along with the list of colours I used, ready for when I need a quick card made.

This little one however I decided to add to my smash book, I've been putting copic images in there to use when I want a colour combination inspiration.

Here is a close up of Fairy Dahlia from Make it Crafty, she's super cute!  I tried a multi coloured dotty background and I think it really makes her pop on the page.

I was also playing around with some dies, and cut out several La Rue Flourishes from Memory Box and then cut them up and made the corners and backing mat for the image.  I'm really happy with how it looks so delicate and of course I did add bling, actually the dies and the kraft page are spritzed with Champagne shimmer mist.  LOVE that stuff for shimmer.

Here is a pic of the two Pink Pages together.  These little beauties just look so adorable in pink!

I'm entering this smashbook page into the following challenges.

Eclectic Ellapu - Anything Goes
ABC Challenges - New Year Sparkle
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
Digi Makeover Challenge - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting, I wish you all the best 2013 has to offer you.  Make it a fabulous year.

Multiliners at Mad for Markers

Hello everyone, I'm here with another inspiration card for you for this month's Mad for Markers Multiliner challenge, just to show you that a few little lines is all that's required!  See Flying Witch Marci's wand here?  That's it, that's all I did little dotted lines to show the sparkle.  How easy is that?  So, what are you waiting for, there is a copy of Sammi's Copicendium magazine from me up for grabs to an entrant this month.

Here's the full card, she is such a cutie! I had a lot of fun colouring her up in what appears to be the Halloween colours.  I also coloured the white ribbon with both YR07 and V17 to achieve the two coloured ribbon.

Colours used are as follows.

Skin:-  E00, 01, 11, 13, 02

Hair:-  YR07, Y38
Hat & Dress:-  V12, 15, 17, C1, 3, 5, 7, 9
Cape&Boots:- C1, 3, 5, 7, 9
Broom:- E50, 51, 53, 55

As October is certainly the month for Halloween, Flying Witch Marci is perfect for the following challenges...

Animal Crackers at Southern Girls

Opps...I'm must have been really keen to post this since the Mojo returned as I've posted it a week early!  Well you get an extra week to do your challenge entry for Southern Girls!  Opps sorry Lou and Tracy......I'm blaming the antibiotics and sore mouth.

Hi everyone, it seems my mojo made quick return the other day.  I was asked to select an image from The Paper Shelter for my Southern Girls DT make this challenge and I went to look, I was so excited browsing through all the gorgeous digi's that I forgot to check what the challenge theme was!

My little granddaughter just loves Rapunzel and plays that she is swinging through the house on her long, long hair.  So I just had to do this image up for her.

I took a couple of  pics prior to placing this in behind the glass in the frame.  I printed Rapunzel out on an A4 sheet of Xpress It card then using my Multiliner, I extended the brickwork both horizontally and vertically.

Here is a closer shot of Rapunzel herself, I just had to do her in similar colours to the image at the store, although her hair is darker here in the photo, it's not quite this red in reality!  Of course there had to be bling in the flowers in her hair and there is clear spica pen over the green to make it sparkle.

At some point AFTER this was completed, I realised that the challenge was animals!  EEK!  I thought of trying to draw in a Chameleon but my drawing skills are not that good, so what better than die cut butterflies filled with glitter?  That's my animal contribution, technically, butterflies are insects, but insects are animals, so I hope I'm covered....LOL

Here she is in her frame, it was difficult to get a clear picture without reflections showing up in the glass, so I tried again once she was hanging on the wall.

I hope you're inspired to join our challenge this fortnight, Animal Crackers! at the Southern Girls, I think you can even get away with using a butterfly or three!

While you're at it, why not join in on these fabulous challenges as well !!!
